Welcome to the web site of the International Federation's work in the Middle East and North Africa.

The International Federation's work in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is guided by the MENA department at the Secretariat in Geneva and field delegations.

The region covers 18 National Societies, divided into three sub-regions; North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East.

There is regional delegation in Amman (Jordan), a sub-regional delegation in Tunis (Tunisia), and country delegations in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine.

These delegations coordinate Federation programmes in the region, and provide technical support to a number of National Societies seeking to increase their operational capacity.

An important tool in planning programmes are country assistance strategies, which set out two-year work plans in detail and are used as a basis for annual appeals.
